The quantum confinement effect on the spectrum of near-field thermal radiation by periodic and random arrays dots (QDs) is investigated. local density states (LDOS) thermally emitted QD made three lead chalcogenides, namely, sulfide, selenide, telluride, computed at a distance from arrays. dielectric function QDs extracted their absorption spectra utilizing an optimization technique. discrete dipole approximation used for computing LDOS. It shown that peak wavenumber LDOS chalcogenide can be significantly modulated (up to 4490 cm-1) varying size dots. proportional imaginary part QDs' polarizability which peaks bandgap energy QDs. (and thus peak) affected size-dependent. While magnitude different with same filling factor up 26%, location are both radiative heat transfer between also strongly in QDs, it tuned changing
